Pulse Word: Obedience
Field Note from 1% Flow – A reflection from Chapter 2: Code Red: The Divine Interrupt
Inner Field Post - For those walking the path of spiritual remembrance
There came a moment when I had nothing to offer.
Nothing to prove.
Nothing left to push.
And that’s when I discovered the real power of surrender.
Until then, I was still moving from performance—
Trying to earn grace.
Trying to secure safety.
Trying to impress God.
But every action felt off.
Like trying to plant roots in quicksand.
No one knew I was barely holding on.
But God did.
And God showed up through a friend…
And through the quiet constancy of my wife.
Together, they mirrored a sacred paradox:
Surrender doesn’t mean apathy.
It means obedience to what’s actually alive.
I learned the difference between movement from fear
and movement from resonance.
Between urgency and invitation.
Between force and power.
I had been trying to move the world.
What I needed was to move with the One
who sets galaxies in motion.
So I didn’t collapse.
I softened.
I surrendered.
And in that surrender—
I found Power.
The kind that doesn’t perform.
The kind that doesn’t panic.
The kind that only moves when moved.
YESSSSSSS!
